what does it mean to "galvanize"?

Here are a couple of Merriam-Webster explanations.

To galvanize:

  • ⚡ to cause (people) to become so excited or concerned about an issue, idea, etc., that they want to do something about it

(dude, I wish I'd started galvanizing a lot earlier in my life 🙄)

  • ⚡ to cause something or someone to become active

  • ⚡ to subject to the action of an electric current especially for the purpose of stimulating physiologically

  • ⚡ to stimulate or excite as if by an electric shock

..and the one metally-technical explanation:

  • 🔩 to coat (iron or steel) with a layer of zinc to prevent it from rusting

I think we can say that “galvanize” as a word with such an empowering meaning has really been used too little these days. It's time to start galvanizing.

🤔 Probably The Chemical Brothers got that already in 2004 when they released their hit tune “GALVANIZE” 👇
